Connect & Grow
Following Jesus is not meant to be done alone. We were meant to serve, grow, and worship together in community with other believers, encouraging one another on the journey. The purpose of Westlake is to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19

Care Teams

BEREAVEMENT
This team is for those who are called to serve grieving families and friends in a time of loss by providing all guests with a meal after their loved one’s service.
Preparation, serving and post reception clean-up is the primary responsibility of our team. It’s not as simple as providing a meal, though that’s part of it. We set up for the meal ahead of time, plan and prepare the dishes to be served, serve throughout the meal, and stay to clean up and tear down the meal area afterwards.
If you’re interested in becoming part of this team or want to learn more, please contact Karen Rang.

“The Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth.” – Psalm 145:18
Prayer is not only accomplished through spoken words; it is an active call to action. The purpose of our team is to actively serve others by standing in the gap and offering them compassion, encouragement, hope, joy, and love through the power of prayer! We have two sub groups within the prayer ministry team.
C.A.R.E. - Carefully Affirm and Restore Everyone
Every month, our CARE team sends out cards with written prayers to offer affirmation and encouragement to people in our church and community. We especially focus on the broken- hearted.
S.T.O.R.M. - Short Term Out Reach Missions
Our STORM team looks after people in need within our church through active engagement such as helping provide a ride to church, providing freezer meals to the sick, and connecting with those who may be alone while stuck at home.
We meet at 6 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, in room 200, at Westlake. We are always ready to welcome new prayer and care warriors! If you’re interested in joining us or learning more, please contact Suzy Bennett.

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Our creative team is made up of kids and adults that raise our hands and serve together in order to share Jesus Christ with others. Kids 3rd grade through adults (the young at heart) are invited to participate.
We exist to bring the love of Jesus Christ to children and adults through songs using puppets, props, and lighting. We actively serve our children and youth ministries.
Our team practices on Saturdays at 10:30 AM-12 PM. Our goal is to offer five live performances throughout the school year and two for VBS.

Growing in Faith. Building Brotherhood. Walking with Christ.
Our Men's Ministry exists to help men grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ while building authentic friendships and encouraging one another through life's challenges and victories. Together, we seek to strengthen our faith, support one another, and become godly leaders in our homes, workplaces, church, and community.
Life was never meant to be lived alone. Men need a place where they can connect, share experiences, encourage one another, and grow spiritually. Our Men's Ministry provides an opportunity to gather regularly, enjoy fellowship, study God's Word, and strengthen our walk with Christ alongside other men who are pursuing the same goal.
What We Do:
Meet every other Wednesday evening
Share a meal together
Discuss the love and teachings of Jesus Christ
Support and encourage one another
Build lasting friendships and accountability
Pray together and grow in our faith
What You Will Find Here:
Genuine fellowship with other Christian men
Meaningful conversations about faith and life
Encouragement during challenges and celebrations
Opportunities to serve and grow spiritually
A welcoming environment where everyone belongs
Join us every other Wednesday night! Come as you are. Pull up a chair. Share a meal. Build friendships. Grow in Christ.

It’s the fun and laughter we share through cookie exchanges, bouquet making, all the crafts, the bible studies, the line dancing, celebrating together, crying together, praying together, laughing together, showing up for one another! Brewing Coffee. Building Community. Sharing Christ.
Our Café Ministry exists to create a warm and welcoming environment where people can connect, build relationships, and experience the love of Christ. Through hospitality, encouragement, and service, we strive to make every guest feel valued, seen, and at home.
The Café Ministry is often the first point of connection for members, guests, and visitors. We believe that a warm welcome, meaningful conversation, and a simple cup of coffee can help people feel comfortable, connected, and cared for. Through hospitality, we create opportunities for fellowship, encourage relationships, and share Christ’s love in practical ways.
Connecting With Others:
Create meaningful connections with members, guests, and visitors.
Foster a spirit of hospitality and belonging before services.
Encourage conversations that build community and strengthen faith.
Help first-time guests feel welcomed and valued.
Serve with kindness, joy, and excellence as an extension of Christ’s love.
Volunteer Info:
Serve just once per month.
No prior café experience required.
Opportunities include coffee preparation, and hospitality support.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

More Than Coffee. It's Community.
